Bone Biology, Bone Graft Biology, and the Clinical Application of Science-Based Bone Grafts
Dental implantology is a clinical discipline that requires a thorough understanding of the scientific disciplines of bone biology and bone graft biology. As dental implantology has exploded over the last 20 years, our understanding of bone and bone grafts has not kept up with the clinical advancements. Until dental implantology, our profession had no need to be educated in bone and bone graft biology and to date, our profession remains isolated from the knowledge developed by our medical colleagues. Dr. Steiner has spent the last 20 years researching and studying the science of bone and bone graft biology within the medical community and would like to share what he has leaned.
